The sound won't load without the motherboard drivers loaded.
You should be able to find that on the recovey disk as well. Have you loaded up the main chipset driver for that laptop EZ-Drive Quick Installation WD Caviar Series 3.5-Inch EIDE Hard Drives. What driver for your sound is listed on your dvd ? I installed UAA.driver from my laptop DVD still says failure.i uninstalled realtek before that. Now i am pretty sure thats conexant HD sound so no drivers will install and work without the Mircosoft UAA driver installed. In that your sound is listed as the Conexant AMOM chip.
